Here are some examples of the feedback we received from people that watched our music video. We asked different people to watch our video and then gave them the questionnaire shown below to fill out to get the specific information we needed. One issue that was raised was the variation of shots, some people felt we should have had more shots of the dancers in different moves as it got a bit repetitive. Looking at the video after this feedback we realise this probably could have been improved, we should have probably shot a bigger variety of dance moves to keep the audience interested. The only problem was, with an integrated narrative it was hard to put a lot of different moves in to the length of the song, as we needed it to make sense so it didn't appear to just be jumping all over the place.
Another issue raised in the feedback was the amount of colour flashes through the video, we probably could have used less but we were trying to keep a consistent theme running through the video, but if we were to change things we would probably take a bit out as it was clear the audience felt this would make things better and they are the people watching it.
The final main issue that was raised was the length of the last section, one of our dancers is dancing against the green screen for the bit in the music where it slows down. The audience said we should have probably cut this section down a bit as it got a bit too long. Looking back at the video after the feedback we realised this is probably true we could have shaved a good five seconds off this section with the video still being long enough.
We did get a fair bit of positive feedback also, but the main area of praise was our narrative, the audience said this was well done and we created humour which is hard to do. So we feel proud of this element of the video and feel it really added to the quality of it.
Overall from the feedback we gathered, if we were to do the video again we decided it would be a good idea to cut Annalise's solo dance down or intergrate other dancers doing a similar thing to keep the audiences attention. This would also show a greater range of shots which was highlighted as a problem so this would solve two problems in one. Finally we would reduce the amount of colour flashes throughout the video, as people said they felt it was a bit too much, or just add more dance moves in between so they wouldn't seem to be coming so often.
